At Grace Episcopal Church we "seek and serve Christ in all persons"
by reaching out to our community and beyond.
Grace Episcopal Church has a very active outreach ministry in the Norwood and surrounding communities. Affiliated ministries include:
Grace Family Fair: This event, held in late spring, is Grace Episcopal Church's gift to the Norwood community. The fair features rides, games, food, free entertainment, a Silent Auction, crafter tables and lots of fun activities for the entire family. The proceeds of the fair are the parish's primary source of funding for outreach ministry.
Plant Sale: Our annual spring plant sale has become a tradition for many of our Norwood neighbors. Held on weekends from Mother's Day through Father's Day, a beautiful selection of colorful, healthy annuals and perennials are for sale. Proceeds from the sale go toward the maintenance and planting of the historic sunken garden on the church property.
Christmas Tree Sale: This event, held throughout the month of December, raises funds for the ministries of Grace Church.
Walk With Grace: Held in the fall, this is a 3-mile walk around Norwood to raise funds for the Ecumenical Food Pantry of Norwood. The food pantry is housed at Grace Church.
Got Books?: A drop-off donation container is located in the church parking lot to collect used books, CDs, DVDs, videos and audio books from the community. The money raised is returned to local community charities.
Pastoral Care Team: This ministry to elderly, ill and hospitalized parishioners provides comfort and assistance through home and hospital visits and telephone follow-up.
Parish Facilities: The parish often furnishes use of the facility for support groups and community activities such as the Ecumenical Food Pantry, Widows' Lifeline and Weight Watchers.
